As Parisi's we have a long history of starting projects that are bigger than we orginal perceive them to be, so they usual turn out to take waayyy more time than we anticipated, which is exactly what we did last night (and are still finishing tonight!) I am thoroughly committed to organizing our home/lives by the end of this year & it started with my idea of moving the girls rooms around. Which turned into moving the girls rooms around, moving my "new-to-me" treadmill (THANKS WILLY!!!) into our room, setting up a place for Mark's dad to stay with us for a few weeks while he recouperates and the list continues...
The funny thing is that after 13 yrs of marriage this isn't something we've gotten better at. I'm pretty sure my husband would agree that he is much worse about this than I am although the longer we're married the worse I get. We start out with the best of plans... moving along at a good pace then we both get into the "divide & conquer" mode and we figure that if we start working on different tasks within the orginal plan we'll get done faster ~ NEVER HAPPENS ~ you'd think we'd have figured it out by now. What seems to take the average couple an afternoon...takes us an afternoon, the evening, into the wee hours of the morning & then the next day. So, here I am at 9 pm trying to will myself to stop blogging to finish the tedious act of sorting through my children's clothes, to give to goodwill what we don't need and put away what we're keeping, and with 4 daughters that adds up to a-lot of clothes (all because I wanted to change their rooms around which means closets too). AAggghhh!!!
If there's a lesson to learn in all of this (besides stick to the original task only & start earlier) it's that I love working with my husband! We always have a great time together...we catch-up on conversations, not just the every day "goings on's" but wonderful heart-to-hearts, we laugh & tease, we joke and just have fun. I'm sooo grateful for him even when it's 2 in the morning we're nowhere near finished and we're both looking at each other saying "what were we thinking?'

Naptime Is My Nemesis
What is it about naptime that makes my child decide she no longer needs sleep? She is the most easy, angelic child all morning long. She plays in her room for a good hour to hour and a half content to walk around, dance to the music that's always on, read the plethera of books on the bookshelf, you name it she'll play with it and love every minute of it all morning long. But come naptime everything changes... oh sure she acts as if she's going to take a nap... she's happy to see me come and get her to change her diaper & have some milk before we're off to her room that so nice & cozy and waiting for her with shutters drawn ready to invite her off to "dreamland". I'll sing her a soft lullaby which she glady nestles under my chin to listen too and as I lay her down she looks at me with droopy eyes that make me think "today's the day". Today's the day she's going to sleep longer than 45 minutes. Today's the day I can get into a project because I'll be able to finish it before she wakes up. Today's the day!
WRONG!!!! Her little internal alarm clock goes off 45 minutes later and she's up ready to go for the rest of the day! Thankfully she wakes-up in a good mood & stays in one until about dinnertime...which I like to lovingly refer to as "The Bewitching Hour" but that's a story for another time.

My Bestest Bestie...
This is my Bestie...Mrs. Suzy Jeffords...she is part of the inspiration behind me starting this blog. Suzy Q you have been the greatest gift of friendship I have ever known. I am so grateful for all the love, support, encouragement & positive (as well as the "tell me like it is") advice I've needed over the years. You are always there for me, day or night, no matter what and for that I will LOVE your guts till the day I die!
Blogging World...Here I Come!
Well, I've done it! I've finally done it! I've been going back and forth for a bit now trying to decide if I should or I shouldn't, do I have the time or don't I? After talking with the bestest friend a girl could ask for and running it past the greatest surrogate Nana I've ever known and visiting as many blogs as my eyes could stand to look at...here I am! I fell in love with Suzy's blog and I absolutely LOVED being able to see the 3 greatest niece & nephews, not to mention my bestest friends in the entire world (that are too far away for me to enjoy up close) and wanted desperately to be able to share my family with our family & friends that are far away. So bear with me as I get the hang of this (I'm quite the newbie :p) & welcome to my life!
